Same-day printing Β· London

What time do I need to order for same-day printing?

Short answer: get your artwork to us by 3pm and it goes out today. The longer answer β€” which products, which postcodes, and what has to be ready before the clock starts β€” is below.

3PM Today’s cutoff

Artwork approved and paid for by 3pm, Monday to Friday, and your job is printed, finished and dispatched the same day across London.

Cutoff times by product

Almost everything runs to the same 3pm clock. The two exceptions are flags and stretch walls β€” both sewn products, both cut off at 11am.

Why flags and stretch walls are different: both are sewn at our second production site rather than at Tabard Street. Order by 11am and they’re still made and dispatched the same day β€” but if you’re collecting, they’re back with us the following morning rather than the same afternoon.

Not in a hurry with a stretch wall? There’s a cheaper standard service at checkout β€” 2–3 working days β€” for when the event isn’t breathing down your neck. Same wall, same print, smaller number.

Cutting it fine? Ring us on 020 7078 0380 before you order. If the job is simple and the artwork is clean we can often take it later than the times above. We would rather tell you yes on the phone than have you gamble on a checkout.

What has to be done by 3pm

The cutoff isn't when you start the order. It's when everything we need to begin printing is in our hands. Four things:

  • Artwork uploaded and print-ready. Correct size, bleed included, fonts outlined or embedded. See our artwork specifications if you're not sure.
  • Payment cleared. Card payments clear instantly. Account customers are fine to proceed straight away.
  • Proof approved, if you asked for one. A proof sitting in your inbox unapproved at 3pm means the job doesn't run.
  • Delivery address confirmed, including a contact name and mobile number for the driver.

Artwork problems are what kill same-day jobs, not printing capacity. If a file comes in at 300mm Γ— 300mm when the product is 297mm Γ— 297mm, someone has to ring you, and that conversation is what eats the afternoon. Five minutes checking the spec before you upload is the single best thing you can do for a tight deadline.

Common questions

What time do I need to order for same-day printing?

Get your artwork approved and payment cleared by 3pm, Monday to Friday, and your job is printed and dispatched the same day. The two exceptions are flags and stretch walls, which cut off at 11am because they’re sewn at our second production site β€” they still dispatch same day, but collection is the following morning.

Can I order same-day printing at the weekend?

Our standard same-day service runs Monday to Friday. We do handle Saturday work for events and exhibitions, but it needs arranging in advance rather than through the website β€” call 020 7078 0380 and we'll tell you straight away whether we can cover it.

What happens if I miss the 3pm cutoff?

Your job runs first thing the next working day and is normally dispatched by mid-morning. If it's genuinely urgent, ring us before you assume it's too late β€” depending on what's already on the machines we can sometimes still get it out.

Is same-day printing more expensive?

No. There's no rush surcharge on the print itself β€” same-day is simply how we work. You only pay more if you choose a faster delivery method than standard.

Can I collect a flag or stretch wall the same day?

No β€” and it’s the one honest exception on this page. Both are sewn at our second production site, so while an 11am order is made and dispatched the same day, collection from Tabard Street is the following morning. If you need it in your hands today, choose same-day courier delivery instead and it comes to you straight off the machine.

Can you deliver directly to an exhibition stand?

Yes, and we do it regularly. Venue deliveries need the stand number, hall, event name and an on-site mobile number, and most venues will only accept deliveries during specified build-up windows. We've written guides for ExCeL London, Olympia London and the Business Design Centre covering exactly what each venue needs.

Do you check my artwork before printing?

Yes. Every file goes through a prepress check for size, bleed, resolution and colour before it reaches a machine. If something's wrong we'll either fix it or call you. On a same-day job that call is time sensitive, so make sure the number on your order is one you'll actually answer.

How late can I change my mind about the artwork?

Until the job goes to press. Once it's printing we can't stop it, and a same-day job is usually on a machine within the hour. If you think a change is coming, tell us when you order and we'll hold the file rather than start.

Need it today?

Order online before 3pm, or call and talk to someone who'll tell you honestly whether it's achievable.
