Exhibition delivery guide

Same-day printing delivered to ExCeL London

ExCeL is the biggest exhibition venue in London and the one where last-minute graphics go wrong most often, simply because of the volume of stands going up at once. We deliver there regularly during build-up.

What we need to deliver to your stand

Venue deliveries fail for boring reasons β€” an incomplete address, or a phone that nobody answers. Give us these five things and it lands where it should:

  1. Event name β€” halls run several shows at once.
  2. Hall β€” North and South halls, N1–N12 and S1–S12, either side of the central boulevard.
  3. Stand number β€” exactly as printed on your exhibitor paperwork.
  4. Contact name β€” the person who will physically take it.
  5. Mobile number β€” one that will be answered on site, not a switchboard.

Deliver during build-up wherever possible. Most venues only accept exhibitor deliveries in defined build-up windows, and access tightens once the show opens. Tell us your build-up times when you order and we will work backwards from them.

Delivering to ExCeL: what to know

Vehicle access is pre-booked

ExCeL operates a Vehicle Booking System, and any vehicle needing access to the loading bays has to be booked on it in advance. Our courier works to this, but it means venue deliveries need more notice than a normal London drop β€” tell us as early as you can.

Halls are a long walk

The venue runs the length of Royal Victoria Dock. A stand at the far end of the South hall is a considerable distance from the entrance, so build a little extra time into your expectations for the final leg.

There is an on-site business services shop

ExCeL has a Business Services shop on Level 0 that handles small last-minute photocopying and printing. It is genuinely useful for documents. It is not set up for large format, so roller banners, foam boards and stretch wall graphics still need to come from outside.

What we print for ExCeL exhibitors

ProductNotes
Roller bannersThe most common emergency reprint. Order by 3pm, on stand the same day.
Foam boardsPanel graphics, product boards, directional signage.
Stretch wall graphicsReplacement fabric for tension frames β€” allow 2–3 working days.
Flyers & leafletsRunning low on day two is normal. We can top you up overnight.

Check our artwork specifications before you upload β€” roller banner files in particular need extra height at the bottom for the cassette, which is the single most common reason an exhibition reprint has to be done twice.

Common questions

How far is ExCeL from your Southwark works?

About 9 miles. A same-day courier run typically takes 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic and the Blackwall Tunnel.

Can you deliver to ExCeL on the morning the show opens?

Usually yes, but access rules tighten considerably on open day and vehicle movements are restricted. It is far safer to have the delivery arrive during build-up the day before. Call us and we will work back from your build-up schedule.

What time do I need to order for delivery today?

Order with approved artwork and cleared payment by 3pm Monday to Friday and your job is printed and dispatched the same day. Call 020 7078 0380 first if you are close to the cutoff β€” we can often take a simple job later.

What do you need from me for a delivery to the stand?

Event name, hall, stand number, a contact name, and a mobile number that will be answered on site. Without a live mobile number the driver cannot complete the delivery and the job comes back to us.

Can you deliver during build-up?

Yes, and that is usually the right window. Most venues only accept exhibitor deliveries during specified build-up periods, and access is often restricted once the show opens. Tell us your build-up times when you order.

What if nobody is on the stand when the driver arrives?

The driver will call the mobile number on the order. If there is no answer the consignment cannot be left unattended in a hall and will be returned, which means a redelivery charge and a lost day. Make sure someone is contactable.
