Round the back

The frame does the work.

A hub with four poles. Two legs and a rear foot make a tripod. Two flexible arms reach up to the top corners and bend, which is what pulls the banner tight.

Pack down

Folds to a bundle.

The legs fold up to the hub and the arms pull out. The whole frame goes in the carry bag with the banner rolled beside it.

Set up · step one

Bottom eyelets first.

Stand the frame up and hook the two bottom eyelets onto the feet. The banner just leans forward at this point. That's fine.

Set up · step two

Flex. Hook. Flat.

Bend each arm in and drop its tip through a top eyelet. Let go and the arms push out, pulling the PVC drum-tight corner to corner.

The X-frame is the budget freestanding banner. No cassette and no spring: a light frame stands behind the banner and its arms flex into the four corner eyelets, pulling the print flat.

X-frame or roller?

Both stand on their own at about head height. The X-frame is the cheaper, lighter one. The roller banner hides its graphic in the base and looks a touch slicker.

Six things to get right on a 1.8m banner.

One PDF, at size

Send a PDF at 800 × 1800mm, portrait. JPEG and PNG are fine for photo-led designs. One page.

Bleed

Run backgrounds 3mm past the edge on every side, so the file is 806 × 1806mm. No crop marks.

Keep the corners clear

Each corner has an eyelet and a frame tip through it. Keep text and logos at least 50mm in from the corners, and 25mm from the edges.

Text size

People read these from a few metres away. Make the headline 100pt or bigger and nothing under 24pt.

Resolution

150dpi at full size is plenty. Screenshots and images from WhatsApp will look soft at 1.8m tall.

Colour

CMYK is safest. RGB prints fine, but neon greens and electric blues come out a touch duller. Flatten transparency before you export.

What is an X-frame banner?

A printed PVC banner on a light X-shaped stand. The frame stands behind the banner; its two flexible arms hook the top eyelets and its legs hook the bottom ones, pulling the banner flat.

What's included?

The printed 80 × 180cm PVC banner with four eyelets, the X-frame stand and a carry bag. All for £39 ex VAT.

How do I put it up?

Open the legs so it stands, hook the two bottom eyelets onto the feet, then bend each arm in and drop its tip through a top eyelet. Let go and it pulls flat. About a minute, no tools.

Can it go outside?

The PVC is waterproof, but the frame is light and catches the wind like a sail, so it's made for indoors. For outside, try our PVC banners on a fence or railing.

X-frame or roller banner?

The X-frame is cheaper and lighter. A roller banner rolls its graphic into the base and looks a bit slicker from behind. Both are about head height.

Can I get a new banner for my frame?

Yes. Email hello@rapidprintpro.com with your artwork and we'll quote for the banner on its own, with eyelets in the same places.

Can I get it the same day?

Yes. Order by 3pm, Monday to Friday, and it's printed today. Collect free from 27 Tabard Street, SE1 4LA, have it couriered across London (arrives same day, £45), or DPD next working day from £6.99.
