Ground spike screws into grass, soil or sand and holds firm. Square base sits on hard floors indoors. Cross base is the folding X-stand for pavement, tarmac and exhibition halls — pack-flat and quick. Water base anchors hard ground outdoors against gusts. If you can’t stab it, weigh it.

Match the base to the ground it’s standing on:
  • Ground spike — grass, soil, sand. Screws in, holds firm.
  • Square base — hard floors indoors: exhibition halls, shops, showrooms.
  • Water base — hard ground outdoors. Fill it and it anchors the flag against gusts.

Yes. Every flag is printed on 115gsm knitted polyester built for outdoor life, on a flexible fibreglass pole designed to bend rather than snap. With the correct base they handle winds up to 22mph. Above that, do what event crews do: take it down until the gust passes. The flag will outlive the weather — it’s machine washable at 30°C (no detergent) so it comes back clean for the next event.

Standard flags are single sided — the knitted polyester lets the design show through the back in mirror image, which is how the vast majority of event flags are flown. Use our template for your size and shape (linked on this page), supply as PDF where possible, and remember a flag is read from metres away — big logo, short message, bold colour beats small print every time. Use the template

Each size and shape has a free template with the print area, pole sleeve and hem marked. Design inside it and your flag comes out exactly as you see it on screen. Templates are linked on this page — grab the one matching your configurator choice.

Try to use PDF

Save as PDF/X-1a:2001 for the cleanest result. Not possible? Don’t sweat it — we accept PNG, JPEG and pretty much anything else, and our artwork team resets every file before print anyway.

Think big

A flag is read from metres away, in motion. One logo, one short message, bold contrasting colour. If you’re squinting at text on your screen at 25% zoom, nobody will read it on a moving flag.

Mind the pole edge

The sleeve edge wraps the pole and the outer edge is hemmed. Keep logos and text well clear of both — the template shows the safe zone. Backgrounds should run right to the edge so nothing shows white.

Resolution

Supply at full size where you can — 150dpi at actual size is plenty for fabric read at distance. WhatsApp-compressed images and screenshots won’t cut it; export the original from Canva or your design tool.

Flatten transparency

Transparency looks fine on screen and misbehaves on large format. Flatten before you export. Forget? No drama — a real person checks every file and we’ll catch it before it prints.
